Every year on August 12, we mark International Youth Day — a global moment to celebrate young people, recognize their power, and reaffirm our commitment to their growth and leadership. For Rotary, this day is more than symbolic. It’s a call to action.

Youth are not just future leaders. They are current change agents, full of courage, creativity, and compassion. From Interact and Rotaract to RYLA and Youth Exchange, Rotary is committed to building pathways where young people don’t just participate — they lead.

But our support must go beyond programs. It’s about mentorship, advocacy, and shared responsibility. It’s about listening with humility and acting with solidarity. The challenges facing today’s youth — from climate change to inequality — require us to not only stand with them but to follow their lead where needed.

This year’s International Youth Day is a reminder that building a better world begins with building trust, opportunity, and respect for young voices. Let’s move beyond tokenism and toward transformation — where every youth feels seen, heard, and valued.

💡 Call to Action: Reach out to a young person this week. Invite them to a Rotary event. Ask them what change looks like to them — and how you can help. Together, we plant seeds of hope that will grow for generations.
