On February 22, 2026, we commemorate the 114th anniversary of the first Rotary Club meeting held outside North America—a milestone that marked the beginning of Rotary’s transformation into a truly international movement.
In 1911, the first Rotary meeting outside of the United States took place in Dublin, Ireland, expanding the vision of Service Above Self beyond borders. This historic event set the stage for what would become a global network of 1.4 million Rotarians in over 46,000 clubs worldwide, dedicated to humanitarian service, peace, and fellowship.
